This snafu is rather disappointing, and frustrating, for me - Studio One is my primary DAW. Mind you, the Arturia KeyLab boards have dedicated midi channel selection controls built-in. If I use one of my Arturia keyboards, Studio One cooperates with midi channel selections just fine. It’s only Studio One (versions 3.x, 4.x and 5.x) that stays “stuck” on midi channel 1 when I use my A61. Other DAWs such as: Samplitude Pro X (X4, X5, and X6), Reaper 6.x, Mixcraft 9, Cakewalk, and FLstudio 20.x all work with my midi templates just fine. No matter which template I select (using the preset buttons on the A61), Studio One & the A61 remain stuck on midi channel 1. Unfortunately, Studio One only seems to receive midi data on channel 1. Within most standalone VST apps, and various DAWs, I can easily select my midi channel templates and the Host will receive midi data correctly on whichever midi channel I desire. It was a rather monotonous, time-consuming task, but I finally got it done. I named each template to correlate with the midi channel it is configured to communicate on: “MIDI CH 02”, “MIDI CH 03”, “MIDI CH 04”, and so forth. The Native Instruments KOMPLETE KONTROL A61 includes a collection of KOMPLETE instruments and effects, as well as MASCHINE Essentials and ships with a standard USB 2.0 cable.I have created 15 additional midi templates within KK Midi control so that I can easily switch midi channels on-the-fly within DAWs. Other notable features include Smart Play, which allows your performances to stay in key with over 100 scales and modes, play chord progressions and arpeggios with single keys, or map any scale to white keys only. Also, the A61 offers deep integration with MASCHINE software with access to scenes, patterns, and tracks. Additionally, there are hundreds of plugins from third-party manufacturers that are Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) compliant, allowing them to integrate with the KOMPLETE KONTROL software. What's more, a Preview Sound function now lets you hear sounds when browsing presets to help with a fast and efficient workflow. Sounds can also be searched using musical tags and keywords. It allows you to search sounds across all KOMPLETE instruments by simply pressing the controller's Browse button, and turning the push encoder to select your instrument and sound. These 8 knobs are nice Native Instruments calls these 4 banks Pages, which we switch by using ( M) or ( S) to access 8 knobs at a time, for a total of 32 knobs They are Endless Encoders ( learn the difference) which have no beginning and end. When used with KOMPLETE, the KOMPLETE KONTROL software allows for unified browsing from a single plug-in. The Komplete Kontrol features 8 Knobs and 4 banks for a total of 32 Knobs. The A61 is designed to be used with all software- and hardware-based MIDI instruments, and features expanded integration with most recent KOMPLETE, such as automatic parameter mapping.
